You Are Made for Something More

Throughout the ages, the most extraordinary human beings — from Einstein, DaVinci, and Joan of Arc to Steve Jobs, Oprah, and Stephen Hawking — have attested to one common factor as the secret to their life success: Intuition.
In her new book Radical Intuition: A Revolutionary Guide to Using Your Inner Power, author Kim Chestney reveals an all new understanding of intuition and how to use it to live an extraordinary life.
Have you ever noticed the nudge of a still, small voice inside you? It is a voice that whispers only to you and knows you better than you know yourself. It guides you; it protects you; it inspires you; and it leads you to the open doors that change your life.
It says: Trust yourself. It says: Something more awaits.
This inner guidance system has been silently running in the background of your life since the day you were born. Every once in a while, it slips into your conscious awareness, reminding you that something bigger is at play in life. These moments of intuitive insight connect you to the larger purpose of your life and the ineffable knowingness that waits behind your thoughts, quietly, for your attention.
The gut feelings and the times when you just know things, even without having all the facts — these are the first calling cards of your intuition. The more you invite your intuition in — the more you get to know it and honor it — the more you will witness the subtle nudges of intuition becoming clearer, stronger communication. What begins with a whisper ends, after time and practice, with an assured calling to recognize and choose the best in your life.
The existential angst so many of us feel today is due, in part, to our habitual and seemingly inescapable overreliance on our thinking mind. We have so much information to process, so much to figure out. We are bombarded, each day, with an endless stream of input from our electronic devices. The return to intuition is the way out of that din, an inner retreat from the chaos of the world. It calls us away from the frenetic distractions of obsessive thinking and back to the richness of life itself — the vitality of presence in the human experience.
We all crave intuition. The stress, the gnawing ache of an empty place inside of us, the feeling that something is wrong, but we don’t know what — these are symptoms of dislocation from our intuitive, inner being. When we learn to recognize and follow our inner guidance, it reconnects us with the fullness of our intended existence. In this way, intuition is not only our line to higher awareness but the cure for our pains — our imbalanced bodies, worried minds, broken hearts, and defeated spirits.
We often live our lives with a sense that we are incomplete. Though we may set this feeling aside or cover it up with activities, ambitions, and worldly pursuits, on a deeper level we know that we are more powerful, with more potential than we realize. When we turn to intuition, we step into that power and into the potential it holds. We rise above the fear, the disappointment, and the confusion of the human experience.
You are made for a different kind of life. You are made to be complete, to be joyful, to be inspired and fulfilled. You are made to use your extraordinary inner power to create the life of your dreams. This is what your intuition is calling you to do, right now.
How will you answer this call? How can you open lines of communication between two very different worlds? How do you touch this ineffable dimension of reality? No teacher, no guru, no quest or drug can take you there; you only get there by following your intuition. What is on the other side of that “call” is nothing less than life itself — the Ultimate, the Supreme, the Absolute, the all-knowing, omnipresent Being. We can call it God, Spirit, or our Source — whatever we name it, we are all part of it. We are intrinsically embedded within it, and it within us — united by intuition.
